The Chengdu program offers intensive language study fulfilling up to 2 years of language requirements in only 1 semester. Summer in China: Matriarchs, Monasteries and Mountains
This program will be an exploration of the cultural and natural landscape of Guizhou and Yunnan provinces in China's Southwest, focusing on the ethnic diversity of the various borderland minority groups, such as the Miao, Buyi, Bai, Naxi, Yi, Mosuo, and Tibetan. Lectures will take place at museums, monuments, rural villages, temples and other sites. Credit wll be awarded by City College of San Francisco for Ethnology of China.

Study Chinese (Mandarin) Abroad in Tianjin China
The College of International Education at TUT is authorized by the Education Ministry of China to offer Chinese language programs that enable international students to gain proficiency in the Chinese language. Participants have ranged from the beginners to the advanced, who need a strong foundation in the language for various careers throughout the world, who are interested in Chinese culture, or who simply intend to live and travel in China. Pacific Village Institute
From Brahma to Buddha: Cultures of the Indian Himalayas & the Ganges River
In this program, students will have the chance to live and study in the country that gave birth to two of the world's great religions-Hinduism and Buddhism-and to travel amid some of the most incredible landscapes in the world. Based in Varanasi, also know as "The City of Light", we will explore the holiest of Hindu cities located on the subcontinent's plains on the banks of the Ganges River. We will also travel to the Himalayas of Sikkim, a small region sandwiched between Nepal and Bhutan, where we will have the opportunity to experience one of the few places where traditional Tibetan culture remains largely free from external repression.

For students interested in South Asian studies, performing arts, religion, and traditional medicine, PSA’s newest program offers students a survey of both India’s rich cultural history and its burgeoning industrial life.
